Hearts Awakened by His Love
God has continued to highlight to me an unfolding theme for much of the last two years. Will we choose faith over fear? A spirit of fear has been actively tormenting mankind and we have all seen and felt its evil reach. But, a much greater momentum of God's unstoppable love is breaking on the shores of our lives wooing, healing, and embracing hearts.
Our lives are either fear based or love based. If we have a fear problem, we have a love problem. If we are operating under a fear based belief system it is in reality an orphan mindset at work. This orphan mindset is filled with thoughts of lack, disconnection, self-preservation, abandonment, aloneness, worse-case-scenarios, and hopelessness.
This fear based system or orphan mindset is not in alignment with the completed work of the cross. Our adoption as sons forever gave us the right to cry out, "Abba Father!", the most beautiful words to those who have had their orphaned hearts awakened to love. We belong to Him. This belonging is the aching desire of every heart. We were made to live and be fully alive in our abiding connection with Him. And, fear can not reside where love abides. The greatest antidote for fear is an encounter with love Himself.
I struggled with a stronghold of fear for years and I can tell you that all my self efforts of just trying harder, memorizing scripture, receiving personal ministry, and overall "white knuckling" my way through, did not produce the faith I longed to walk in with God. It was not until I had my own encounters with my Heavenly Father, the God of love, that I began to see the stronghold of fear lose its grip in my life. Just a few words from His lips changes everything!
"There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love." I John 4:18
Aloneness is the lie. Separation and disconnection is the lie. When we experienced the rebirth of our spirit, we became His habitation, His dwelling place. Our hearts are forever connected.
A GREAT AWAKENING IS COMING
A GREAT AWAKENING is coming, and I believe in large part it will be an AWAKENING in the Church, first of all, to see with eyes wide open our FULL redemption as His sons and daughters. In second part, the GREAT AWAKENING will be as the sons and daughters rise up to fully step into our God ordained position in Him, believing and releasing this inexplicable love we have freely received. The harvest will be harvested by an awakened Church.
I hear the Father saying, "Run to Me My weary ones! Speak the words My heart longs to hear and your heart longs to utter. "Abba Father!" The fear that has tormented and threatened you is a lie and based on lies that disavow My blood covenant of love with you. Is God a man that He should lie? Cast all of your cares on Me and trust in Me. We have stepped into a time where faith and trust will be essential to navigate the new era. Do not give way to fear, but trust, lean in, and abide in My love. I am awakening your heart to My love again. I am awakening you to experience, believe and see with new eyes, hear with new ears, and feel with a new, awakened, heart."
"I slept but My heart was awake. Listen! My beloved is knocking: "Open to me, my sister, my darling, my dove, my flawless one. My head is drenched with dew, my hair with the dampness of the night." I have taken off my robe--must I put it on again? I have washed my feet--must I soil them again? My beloved thrust his hand through the latch-opening; my heart began to pound for him. I arose to open for my beloved, and my hands dripped with myrrh, my fingers with flowing myrrh, on the handles of the bolt. I opened for my beloved, but my beloved had left; he was gone." Song of Songs 5:2-6a
In this scene, the King was trying to enter the room of his beloved. Her heart heard him even though she slept. Yet, even though she became awake, she still did not rise and respond. She soon realized her mistake and passion and pursuit were awakened. Because she hesitated, when she rose to open the door, he was gone. She had lost that moment of intimacy, but there would be other moments. Her lover would continue to kindle the burning embers of her heart until it was a full flame. The Lover of our Souls will do the same for us. He is blowing even now on the embers of our hearts to bring us into full flame of love for Him.
Our hearts can respond to Him even when our bodies don't feel like it. Our awakened spirit has caused us to be forever connected with Him, our Bridegroom. We are beginning to step into a greater revelation of our eternal connection with Him that nothing can sever. This revelation of our abiding connection will be a powerful key to unlock the hearts of His Church into greater dimensions of His glory.
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any power, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39
Many have been lulled into complacency and hearts have grown cold waiting for the King's arrival. But, King Jesus is awakening hearts that will burn passionately for Him once again. The return to first love is being birthed by His Spirit and "Abba Father!" will be the abandoned and fearless cry of this Bridal Army.
